Master's programs admissions requirements

Required level prior to admission

Admission to an M1 program is open to the best students who have obtained a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Engineering, a License or equivalent. The admission committee can admit an applicant directly to the M2 year, provided that he or she has obtained the 60 ECTS credits corresponding to an M1 year, in fields and with a record compatible with the requested M2 specialty.

Language proficiency

All applicants who are citizens of a non-French-speaking country are required to pass an official test (TCF, TEF, DELF) and add the official transcript to their application file. This is needed to determine the level of French language courses to be followed during the Masters program. A minimum level B1 (European reference - TCF level 3 or equivalent) is indispensable before starting any program which includes lectures taught in French. Even for totally English-speaking programs, such a minimum level is strongly advisable both for better social integration and a fruitful cultural / human experience. Besides, by the end of the program, all students must have validated a B2 level (TCF/TEF level 4 or certified equivalent, B1 or TCF/TEF level 3 for masters programs taught entirely in English).

Moreover, operational knowledge of English is necessary. By the end of the Masters program, students must reach the level of 570 (TOEFL PBT) / 88 (TOEFL IBT) / 230 (TOEFL CBT) or certified equivalent.

Language courses can be followed during the program. They are not designed for complete beginners.
