Compagnies EDX
Special emphasis is put on the industry research partnership scheme (CIFRE). Former students from l'Ecole Polytechnique or students who hold a Master Ecole Polytechnique are particularly encouraged in that direction. A list of PhDs offered either by laboratories Ecole Polytechnique or Industries suitable for the CIFRE scheme can be consulted on this website.
Furthermore EDX offers a comprehensive transferable skills programme that includes courses specifically designed for PhD students to improve their professional and personal development including a one week residential course: Les Doctoriales and courses that specifically assist PhD students in Getting prepared to professional integration
Finally we are concerned about our students' future and their insertion in industry.
Each year we conduct a survey within former EDX students monitoring their career progress. For instance, at the end of 2009, more than half of alumni who defended in 2006 were working in the private sector.
Companies are also invited to communicate us their job offers for PhDs (in French and or in English) for publication on our website.
