Post doctorate opportunities for Ecole Polytechnique former students
We do care with your future even after you have finished your PhD. In that respect each year, we allocate the equivalent of 11 Post-doc grants to young PhDs who did their PhD at l'Ecole Polytechnique or are former Ecole Polytechnique students.
These grants are specifically designed for you to:
- Concretise a job opportunity
- Finish writing scientific articles related to your PhD
- Complete your research training with an experience abroad in sight of an academic position. First consideration is given to candidate planning a collaborative Post Doc between L'Ecole Polytechnique and the Host institution.
The hosting laboratory for your project must be internationally renowned. If you are applying for a post doc in the lab you did you PhD you can only pretend to up to 3 months worth of support.
The grant is worth 2092.30€ per month plus 3% residence allowance. It may last up to 12 months, however, 12months are only awarded exceptionally.
We are now dealing with applications for Post Docs between 1 st October 2010 and 30 th September 2011. If you are doing your PhD at L'Ecole Polytechnique, the head of your laboratory will be liable for your funded Post Doc, otherwise you will be assigned a tutor from the Doctoral School.
Grants can be activated starting from the day of you PhD defence and no latter than one year after.
