Accomodation

We are aware that finding somewhere to live nearby the Doctoral School (EDX) and Laboratories is not an easy task; however we do our best to help you finding the right accommodation.

Rooms in halls of residence

We have a limited number of rooms in halls of residence intended for PhD Students

  • Ecole Polytechnique halls located on site
    Amount of rent : 420 €.

  • Cité Internationale Universitaire halls in Paris (14th arrondissement) nearby the RER B station Cité Universitaire

The rooms are ascribed in September to Students for the starting year (starting 1st October).
The following students are given first consideration:
  • Foreign students arriving for the first time in France
  • Students who are coming from outside Ile de France
  • Students from any background with low income

Mind out that when you accept a room at  Cité Internationale Universitaire (Paris) you are making a one year agreement which cannot be cancelled for the entire year (1 st October until 30 th june).

Please note that application does not give rights to accommodation, we are not able to guarantee you accommodation however we will do our best to help you find a room and each application will be considered according to preference criteria and availability

Glossary

Studio:studio flat, one room with kitchenette and bathroom.
F1 or type 1: one bedroom flat
F2 or type 2: two bedrooms flat
Cc: "charges comprises" means that the price includes building utilities, electricity and gas
SdB: bathroom
Chauf cent: central heating
Chauf elect: electrical heating
Equipé: means that the flat includes a fitted kitchen (fridge, cooker, sink)
Meublé: furnished flat (bed, table, chairs...)
